Install guide
Accenno is free in early access for Macs with Apple silicon and macOS 15 or later. Setup takes about five minutes.
Install Accenno
- Download and open the disk image.
- Drag Accenno into Applications.
- Eject the disk image, then open Accenno from Applications.
If macOS says it can’t check the app, open System Settings › Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway for Accenno. Follow Apple’s instructions for opening apps. Don’t turn off Gatekeeper or other protections.
Allow access
Accenno asks for three permissions, and uses them only when you ask it something:
- Screen Recording, so it can see the app you’re asking about.
- Accessibility, so it can click and type for you when you say “do it”.
- Microphone and Speech Recognition, so you can ask out loud and get help in meetings.
If macOS asks you to quit and reopen Accenno after granting access, do so.
Connect your AI model
Open Settings › Intelligence and enter your own supported provider credentials. Accenno is free; your provider may charge for usage. Never put an API key in a document or a feedback note.
Ask your first question
Open the app you’re stuck in, press ⌘ \ and ask out loud, for example “How do I add Auto layout?” or “Where do I create a database?”. Accenno’s orange cursor flies to the right button and circles it, and the window beside it tells you what to do next.
Say “do it” and Accenno does the steps for you while you watch. Move your own mouse or press esc at any time and it stops.
In meetings
When a question lands in a call, Accenno hands you the answer from your own notes and documents. It never joins the call as a bot, and it never starts listening by itself.
To give it context, download the setup prompt, give it to your assistant with your project notes, and paste the fields it returns into a new project. Then add documents, notes or folders under Knowledge.
Shortcuts
- ⌘ \ shows or hides Accenno.
- ⌘ ⇧ I turns click-through on or off.
- ⌘ Q hides the window while Accenno keeps running.
- ⌘ ⌥ Q quits Accenno.
Report a problem
Email hello@accenno.com with your Mac and macOS version, the app you were in, what you expected and the steps to reproduce it. Remove API keys and personal information first.
