Privacy policy
Accenno works on your Mac and only looks or listens when you ask. Here is exactly what happens to your data.
Last updated 15 October 2026
In short
- Nothing starts by itself. Accenno looks at your screen or listens only when you ask.
- Your library, chats, meeting transcripts and recordings stay on your Mac.
- When you ask something, only what that question needs goes to the AI provider you choose.
- There’s no Accenno account, no advertising and no selling of data.
- This website uses no cookies and no analytics.
What stays on your Mac
Projects, the documents, notes and folders you connect, saved chats, meeting transcripts and assistant history are stored in Accenno’s application-support folder on your Mac. Recordings are saved to the folder you choose in the app. You can delete them at any time.
When you ask Accenno something
To answer, Accenno sends your question and the context it needs to the AI provider you select in Settings › Intelligence, using your own credentials. Depending on the question, that context can include parts of a meeting transcript, passages from your project documents, or an image of your screen when you ask about what’s on it. The provider processes it under its own terms, so check its settings before using confidential information. Web search and connected services, when you use them, make their own requests.
Your screen, keyboard and microphone
Accenno asks macOS for Screen Recording (to see the app you ask about), Accessibility (to click and type when you say “do it”) and Microphone and Speech Recognition (to hear your question and help in meetings). It uses them only for the request you made. It shows you what it will do first, and you can stop it at any time by moving your mouse or pressing Esc. It never starts listening to a meeting by itself. Follow the consent and workplace rules that apply to your meetings.
This website
accenno.com is hosted on Cloudflare, which handles pages and downloads and may process ordinary request data, such as IP address and browser type, under its privacy policy. The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, trackers or ads. The examples on the home page are animations; they don’t access your screen or microphone and send nothing anywhere.
The app download
The app contains code and its dependencies only, never anyone’s projects, API keys, meeting records or recordings. Checksums are published in SHA256SUMS.txt.
Children
Accenno isn’t directed at children under 13.
